24th September – Nick Bailey:
Please remember that the sale of tickets is now only via Orleton Village Shop or by post from ODGC c/o Tipperwhig, 4 Glover Road, Leominster, HR6 8SW with a cheque for £12 made payable to ODGC and a sae. The sale is now open to other local gardening clubs and the public.
On the evening, we will need extra help organising the event. Refreshments will be served in the small hall, we will need first aiders, fire marshals, car park attendants, to name but a few, as well as help to clear up at the end of the evening.
Please let a committee member know if you are available to help, especially setting up the Hall in the afternoon.
As we have already said, the Plant Sale was a massive success. However we were very low on bedding plants and there were numerous requests for this type of annual. We understand that it is difficult to bring this type of plant to the sale as you would be giving up your seed trays! Therefore your committee is considering buying some seed trays and will provide these, together with the seeds and compost, if you are willing to grow them for the sale.
We will be looking for volunteers later in the year!
39TH ANNUAL SHOW – Saturday 17th August 2019:
It is now less than two months to our Annual Show and our gardens should be full of all types of produce that can be exhibited.
We have all experienced the weather of late but don’t be disheartened, things can really get better; just don’t do your own judging!
Full Schedules can be downloaded from our website.
As usual, your Show Committee will be looking for volunteers to Steward on the day. If you would like to offer your help, please contact one of the Show Sub-committee (listed on the last page of the schedule)
Things to do, places to visit:
