THIS MONTH’S SPEAKER:
Welcome to Spring and our speaker for this month who is Domonic Hamilton on the “History of Painswick Rococo Garden” which we will be visiting in September.
New members, Sally and Mark Sansom from Luston.
To Diane Russell and Morwenna Lloyd for providing the refreshments this month.
We still have a few gaps on the rota because people have had to swap around and obviously, we will need more in July than the two names on the list! Please see Gill who has the rota showing the gaps!
We are grateful for any help setting up before and clearing away the chairs after the meeting.
28TH JUNE – VISIT TO RHS BRIDGEWATER:
This is a coach outing and is limited to 53 seats and we already have over half the seats filled with names. If you have put your name on the list, and not paid, could you please confirm that you still wish to go by paying the £10 cost (which is non-refundable).
We have been asked by Wigmore Gardening Club if their members can come on the trip and have advised that, because of the RHS regulations, it is for paid up members only so we are expecting some new people to join. Therefore, if you are interested, please get your name on the list soon. Gill has the booking list.
26TH JULY – CELEBRITY SPEAKER:
As announced at the AGM, our Celebrity speaker this year is Toby Buckland and full details are on our website.
As with previous celebrities, we will be selling the tickets for this event at our March and April meetings and the Plant sale to members only at a cost of £7. After the plant sale tickets will be sold at full price of £14 either through the Village Shop or via post to Gill.
Assistant Raffle Ticket Seller:
It is with sadness that we have to announce that Rose Jones is not able to re-join the Club after many, many years of membership. We are therefore looking for a volunteer to assist David in selling the tickets when Verna is unavailable. Please see David or Monica.
