Our speaker this month is Pip Smith, returning to speak to us about “In the bleak midwinter”
THANKS:
To Marleen de Kluizenaar and Andrea Crewe for organising the refreshments this month and to those who help setting up the chairs before the meeting and clearing away at the end of the evening.
The rota for refreshments for 2027 will be circulating tonight and please remember that following the change made at the AGM in the start time of the meetings, in 2027 meetings start at 7.30 pm and refreshments will be served from 6.45 pm to 7.15 pm so that the volunteers can clear up before the talk starts.
Thanks also to Jenny Horwood and Helen Woolley for providing the audio visual set up.
PLANT STALL:
Due to unforeseen circumstance, there will be NO plant stall this month. Please DO NOT bring anything for sale.

2028 PROGRAMME:
Because Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies (GFGS), of which we are a member, have updated their speaker list 3 times in the last 5/6 weeks, your committee has already started work on the 2028 programme.
GFGS have advised that it is mainly because speakers do not wish to travel so far to visit clubs, as well as not wanting to travel in the dark. Also, age and health problems, and the death of a couple of speakers has caused the need to keep updating the list.
If members have an interest in any particular subject, please let a member of the committee know and we will do our best to source a speaker.
GLOVES;
It would appear that the company that I have used for many a year to obtain gloves at reasonable prices has gone out of business.
I have been searching for a replacement company but so far, without luck. I am still reasonable well stocked on most sizes, there only being 2 – large thermal and medium green – that I am totally out of stock of at the moment.
THINGS TO DO, DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:

Our speaker on the 24th November is James Pearson on the History of Burford House and gardens.
