Welcome to the Orleton and District Gardening Club

We are a friendly club of approximately 100 members ranging from the novice to the experienced gardener based in Orleton on the Herefordshire/ Shropshire border.

Join us and enjoy great company with like minded people, inspiring talks from guest speakers, frequent outings and a range of discounts. You can be sure of a warm welcome.

Meetings

Come along to any meeting. Guests welcome for £2.50 per meeting. We are always glad to enrol new members. Annual membership is £15.00 (due each January) and there is no charge for meetings or tea and biscuits.

There is always a plant stall where some excellent bargain plants can be purchased, and a raffle with worthwhile prizes. We also enjoy the opportunity to chat to fellow members over a free cup of tea and a biscuit.

Annual events

There is an Annual Show in August when vegetables, flowers, pot plants, cookery and preserves are exhibited with friendly rivalry among the exhibitors.

The AGM is held in July followed by an informal buffet supper in the village hall, provided by our members when we can sit and enjoy a chat with our friends. We usually also have two meals out at various local venues in March and December.
