Self Sufficiency in 2020

Vegetarians Sam and Kate Davies have not bought their fruit and vegetables for almost fifteen years. Sam has been a keen veg. grower since the age of four. They began their journey towards self-sufficiency with two allotments and now on their two acre smallholding they can also produce their own milk and cheese, honey, eggs, solar electricity, cleaning products and wine. Their talk will discuss what vegetables to grow in order to sustain yourself all year round and give many hints and tips such as using raised beds, no dig, making your own potting compost and how to best preserve your produce. They will give an update on their efforts to live a more healthy and sustainable life and bring along some honey and possibly other products for sale.

A slide that was shown at the talk illustrating the amazing variety food Sam and Kate enjoy!
Thanks Sam for letting us publish your slide.
