OUR APRIL SPEAKER:
Stephanie Hafferty is speaking to us on the subject of “No dig gardening”
Stephanie Hafferty is an award winning garden writer, organic gardener, edible garden designer, food writer and educator, with over 30 years practical experience of growing her own food year round. A leading authority in the UK on no dig gardening, she has grown her own for over three decades and worked as a professional no dig kitchen gardener and designer for over 15 years.

Payments to the Club are now preferred by either BACS, card or cash.
AGM – 29th JULY:
Should you wish to make any amendments to the Club Rules or Information, these must be handed to the secretary at the April meeting or posted to arrive at her home address – Arrow Heights, Leominster, HR6 8QE – 14 days before the May meeting (13th May) so that they can be published before the May meeting. The current wording can be seen on our website.
PLANT SALE – SUNDAY, 18TH MAY:
We have already announced the changes to our plant sale so this is just a gentle reminder that we need as much help as possible, and these are few hints that will help on the day:
When members bring plants it would help if plants are correctly labelled, tall plants – especially tomatoes – are staked and old labels and prices are taken off plant pots being reused, and of course lots of plants to make it a successful day.
VISIT TO FIELD FARM – THURSDAY, 10TH JULY:
Field Farm is the home of Kim and Rob Hurst, many of you will have known them as formerly trading as The Cottage Herbery.
The visit is arranged for 10th July, 2025 at 2.30 pm. This visit will be a “make your own travel arrangements” and there are plenty of parking spaces. Full directions to Field Farm will be given nearer the time. Click here to view.
The visit consists of a walk / talk tour of the garden followed by tea and cakes in the barn. The cost of the visit is £10 per person.
There is still time to book and please pay via BACS if possible.

THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO GO:
Weobley Garden and Allotment Societies are holding a Great Garden Extravaganza on the 10th May at Weobley Village Hall.
See the poster on our notice board.
The Weobley Garden Society now has a new committee and are organising many events with meeting being on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, starting 7.30 pm in Weobley village hall.
